Après ce paysage émerveillant, nous nous dirigeons vers le site de Meteor Crater.

La météorite exposée au musée pèse 500kilos et est composée principalement de fer et de nikel. la meteorite faisait a l'origine 50 metre de diametre et a ete vaporise au moment de l'impact, des debris on ete trouve a 20 km a la ronde.

This is the biggest part remainding from the meteorite, about 1000lb mainly composed of iron and nickel, the meteorite was about 50 meter diameter when crashing most of it was waporised when impact the ground, parts of it can be found 20km around.

Cette meteore heurta le Terre approximativement il y a 50000 ans, a une vitesse d'environ 12.5km/s. Ele pesait dans les 300000 tonnes et environ 50m de diametre, ce qui crea quand meme un trou de 1.2km de diametre et 180m de pofondeur en ejectant 175 millions de tonnes de roche. Ce qui equivaut aujourd'hui a une explosion de 25000tonnes de TNT.

This meteorite hit the earth about 50000 years ago at a speed of 12.5km/second. wheighted about 300000 tons and 5o meter diameter, and create an hole of 1200 meter diameter by 180 meter deep, 175 millions of tons of rocks was ejected. equivalant of a blast of 25000 tons of TNT.
